Who owns this app

SSI Benefits Navigator by MyKey is developed and owned by MyKey Consulting Services LLC, based in Bothell, Washington. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MyKey Consulting Services LLC. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Not connected with Social Security

MyKey Consulting Services LLC is a private company. This app is not run by, approved by, or connected with the Social Security Administration (SSA), Medicaid, any ABLE program, or any other government agency. The app cannot see your SSA record, cannot file anything for you, and cannot decide anything about your benefits. For official information, go to ssa.gov or call SSA at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).

What the app is, and is not

The app is an educational support tool. It offers checklists and note pages to help a family get organized before they talk with Social Security.

  • It is not benefits, legal, financial, tax or medical advice.
  • It does not replace SSA, a benefits counselor, an attorney, an IEP, or a transition plan.
  • Benefit rules and timelines change and can differ by state. A checklist may be out of date or may not fit your situation.
  • You are responsible for your own deadlines and for reporting changes to SSA on time.
  • Before you make a decision about work, savings or benefits, talk with a qualified person, such as a certified benefits counselor or SSA.

Not for emergencies

Do not use the app to get help in an emergency. If someone is in danger, call 911.

Free to use

The app is free. Nothing is sold inside it, and no account is needed.

Your notes

What you type is yours and stays on your device. We do not have a copy and cannot bring it back if it is erased or your device is lost. Keep your own copies of anything important. The app is not an official record.

Using the app the right way

You agree that you will not use the app to break the law, including to make false statements to a government agency, and that you will not try to break, overload, copy or take apart the app.

Our work

The app belongs to MyKey Consulting Services LLC. This includes its design, text, checklists, artwork, and the MyKey name. You may use them for your own personal, family or educational use. Please do not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

Copyright concerns

If you believe something in the app copies your work, email hello@mykeyplans.com with your name and contact details, the work you believe was copied, where it appears, and a statement that you are the owner or act for the owner. We will look into it promptly and remove content where that is right.

Accessibility

We want this app to work for everyone. Our Accessibility page explains what we do and how to tell us about a barrier.

The service as it is

We provide the app "as is" and "as available", without promises that it is complete, correct, current, or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyKey Consulting Services LLC is not responsible for lost, reduced, delayed or overpaid benefits, missed deadlines, lost notes, or indirect or incidental losses that come from using the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to $100. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, you agree to the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
